Leipzig/Zörbig, 27 June 2011 - At the Annual Shareholders' Meeting of
VERBIO Vereinigte BioEnergie AG held on Friday 24 June 2011, the approx. 80
shareholders and shareholder representatives present passed all agenda
items by a large majority. The attendance rate was 79.4% of the share
capital.

A new Supervisory Board was elected. Alexander von Witzleben remains
Supervisory Board Chairman, and Ulrike Krämer was appointed as his deputy.
Dr Georg Pollert, a former director of the company and a major shareholder,
was voted onto the Supervisory Board.

The company also took the opportunity to have the new remuneration system
for the Management Board approved by the Annual Shareholders' Meeting. In
particular, this was expressly welcomed by the shareholder representatives.
